Visakhapatnam Gas leakage

*In Venkatapuram village, Visakhapatnam there has been a very harmful gas leakage in the plant of LG polymers. The DGP of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Damodar Gautam Sawang confirmed that the gas leakage at LG polymers plant was an accident. As per report 10 persons, including 2 senior citizen and an 8-year-old girl, died and over 5000 people fell sick after a harmful gas leakage in the chemical plant in Vizag on Thursday morning. At around 3 am the gas leakage was observed. AP. government requested people not to come outside their homes for the sake of safety precautions. Police has shifted many people to outside the industrial areas.   

*The citizens of nearby areas have complained that they are facing many problems -: like difficulty in breathing, burning eyes etc.

*Honorable PM, Mr. Narendra modi, Union Home Minister Amit shah and President of India also tweeted to express sorrow on the situation of Visakhapatnam.

*Ambulances, police vehicles and other emergency vehicles are reached to the spot after the incident and local police also rushed for the evacuation of the locals. The exact cause of the leakage is yet ascertained. The effect of this gas has been observed under a radius of 3km. Many people were seen unconscious on roads and many rashes on their bodies. 
*LG polymers industry was established in 1961 as Hindustan polymers. It manufacturing polystyrene and its co-polymers in Vizag. It co-alliance with Mc Dowell & Company Limited of UB Group in 1978.
